July 24th is the feast day of St. Declan, and was celebrated again this year at Toor Holy Well in Aglish, and also at the Holy Well in Ardmore.
At Toor, Mass was celebrated at 12 noon with Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan the main celebrant. He was joined by Priests from surrounding parishes. A very big number of pilgrims attended on what was a beautiful day.
In Ardmore, a candlelit prayer service was held at St. Declan’s Well at 12 midnight on the eve of the feastday. Again, a large crowd attended.
Thanks to Tom Keith for providing us with a mixture of photographs capturing both events.
