On Sunday 13th December after the 11.00am Mass in the Dominican Church a procession proceeded to the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity for the opening of the Holy Door which was led by Bishop Cullinan.  There was a big crowd present to witness this special occasion.

In St. Mary’s, Dungarvan, Canon William Ryan PP also opened a Holy Door before the 12 noon Mass.  Again, a big crowd was present.

Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan, Canon Brendan Crowley PP, & Fr. Michael Toomey CC, SS’s Peter and Paul, Clonmel, blessed a Holy Door on Sunday January 3rd 2016.

As we consider the Holy Door and particularly  the Holy Year, our Lord stands at the door of our hearts knocking. We must open our hearts to Him and cross the threshold of hope, striving for holiness.
