A series of three zoom gatherings will take place from 8-9pm on Tuesday 31st Oct., 1st Nov. and 2nd Nov.
The idea is an initiative for the Year for Vocation to Diocesan Priesthood and is organised in conjunction with the National Vocations Office. The title of the three gatherings is:
‘INSPIRING PRIESTS FROM THE PAST, FOR THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE’ –
Tuesday 31st October – ‘Priests From the Past’.
Dr Patrick Kenny will speak about the Priestly Witness and Courage of Fr. Willie Doyle SJ and his virtues that can inspire priestS today.
Wednesday 1st November – ‘Priests for the Present’
‘Hopes of a newly Ordained Priest and the Gratitude of a Jubilarian’ with Fr Shaun Doherty, Diocese of Derry and Fr Billy Swan, Diocese of Ferns
Thursday 2nd November – ‘Priests for the Future’
‘Fr. Tomás Surlis, Rector of St. Patrick’s Seminary, Maynooth and Stephen Sherry, a seminarian for the Diocese of Clogher will speak about seminary formation in a synodal Church and an upcoming ‘Come and See’ vocations weekend in November.
