The Order of St. Camillus, on Thursday 21st May, officially and canonically erected their new community in Waterford. The canonical ceremony took place in the chaplain’s residence on the grounds of University Waterford Hospital. The diocese welcomes this news with great joy and we wish Fr. John Philip [Superior of the community], Fr. Russel and Fr. Sabastian every blessing and good wish.
We are fortunate to have the ministry of the Camillians to look after the sick as they do with such Christian care. Bishop Cullinan wishes to acknowledge that it was Monsignor Nicholas O’Mahony who invited the Camillians to the Diocese.
